A delegation led by S. Mora, Regional Attaché for International Operations at Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, visited the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meeting focused on the initiative to use the Academy as a hub for strengthening law enforcement capacity and the next steps for implementing it.

The guests were briefed on the Academy’s structure and main areas of activity, as well as its system for training, retraining and professional development of prosecution and investigative personnel.

The parties discussed joint projects being implemented through their cooperation, which the guests highly praised. The discussion also covered measures to support and implement the initiative aimed at strengthening law enforcement capacity.

At the conclusion of the visit, both parties expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation and support joint initiatives.
