The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan supports the United Nations 2030 Agenda and consistently implements sustainable development principles. Environmental protection, energy efficiency and the responsible use of resources have become an important part of the Academy’s activities.
Significant results have been achieved in the use of renewable energy. From January to October 2026, the Academy’s solar installations generated 71,612 kWh of electricity. This was three times the figure for 2025 and accounted for approximately 40% of the electricity consumed by the Academy during the same period. In October, electricity consumption decreased by 26.2% compared with August.
The Academy has also established a system for waste sorting and recycling. In 2025, approximately 90% of inorganic waste was sent for recycling. Data on electricity, gas and water consumption, solar energy generation and waste volumes are entered into a unified database every month. This enables accurate and transparent resource management.
These efforts directly contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 – “Clean Water and Sanitation”, Goal 7 – “Affordable and Clean Energy”, Goal 12 – “Responsible Consumption and Production” and Goal 13 – “Climate Action”. The Academy’s results are also reflected in the international sustainability rankings UI GreenMetric and THE Impact Rankings.
The Academy will continue to develop environmentally responsible practices and contribute to a sustainable future for the country and the planet.
