A seminar was organized for members of regional councils to fight against corruption

According to the schedule approved by the National Anti-Corruption Council, a seminar was held on the topic of "Liability for corruption under the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan" for the members of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and Tashkent regional anti-corruption councils.

The seminar was conducted by H.Tursunbekov, the head of the Academy's anti-corruption scientific-educational center.

About 100 regional council members who participated in the event were informed about corruption offenses, their types, measures of responsibility established in national legislation, bodies fighting against corruption offenses and their powers, existing legal and practical problems and measures to eliminate them, international standards and advanced foreign experiences in this regard. a presentation was made.

At the end of the interactive seminar, the members of the regional council received detailed answers to their questions regarding the fight against corruption and its prevention, and the issue of continuing such seminars in the future was considered.
