Meeting with representatives of the Legal Clinic for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at Syracuse University (USA)

A meeting was held at the Academy with a delegation headed by Professor Michael Schwarz, the director of the Legal Clinic for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at Syracuse University, USA.

During the event, opportunities for establishing cooperation in providing scientific and methodological assistance to the Legal Clinic for its further development were discussed. This included the application of the positive experience gained at the university in this field to the activities of the Academy, as well as conducting joint research within international projects aimed at providing legal assistance to persons with limited physical abilities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the international expert familiarized himself with the activities of the Academy's Legal Clinic, particularly with the operation of a special electronic portal developed to provide free legal assistance to the population by students and participants. He presented his recommendations for further improving the clinic's work.
