A group of students from the Academy attended a spring school on human rights and the environment for law students in Almaty, organized by the Council of Europe in collaboration with the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by more than 40 students from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
The main goal of this project was to familiarize students with the judicial practices of the European Court of Human Rights in the field of the environment and climate change, and to provide students with comprehensive information regarding global changes in the sector and international legal acts.
During the spring school, the features of the European Convention on Human Rights were reviewed, and practical sessions were held aimed at the application of the acquired knowledge and the resolution of problematic situations.
The event allowed students to familiarize themselves with the judicial practices of the European Court, exchange information, and establish friendly relations with their peers.
