Visit of U.S. State Department Representatives to the Academy as Part of a Joint Project


Representatives from the U.S. State Department, including the Director of Budget of the Bureau of Counterterrorism, A. Nasir, and the Program Representative for Central Asia, B. Stearns, visited the Law Enforcement Academy. The event was also attended by R. Joyce, an expert involved in the activities of the Academy.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of a joint project on training and mentoring in the field of combating money laundering and financing of terrorism, conducted in cooperation with the non-governmental organization “Regional Dialogue” and the Bureau of Counterterrorism of the U.S. State Department.

The parties also exchanged views on organizing specialized training courses and programs involving American experts for law enforcement officers in the future, as well as enhancing training modules based on international practices.

During the visit, the foreign partners became acquainted with the educational infrastructure and the processes of organizing scientific and educational activities at the Academy.
