Training on the Topic: “Enhancing the Efficiency of Prosecutorial Oversight in the Investigation of Human Trafficking Crimes”


As part of an international conference marking the second anniversary of the establishment of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a seminar-training was organized in cooperation with the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan. The training, titled “Enhancing the Efficiency of Prosecutorial Oversight in the Investigation of Human Trafficking Crimes”, featured the participation of experts from the United Kingdom.

The training aimed to enhance the capacity of prosecutorial staff in investigating human trafficking crimes and practical activities related to judicial proceedings.

The event was inaugurated with welcoming speeches by Yevgeny Vyacheslavovich Kolenko, First Deputy Head of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Antti Karttunen, the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan.

During the two-day seminar-training, prosecutorial staff had the opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge in investigating human trafficking crimes and judicial practices, drawing on international experience and practices.
