Training Course "Combating Torture: International Practice and National Experience" Held in Jizzakh

In accordance with the National Education Program in the Field of Human Rights in Uzbekistan, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 7, 2023, the training course on "Combating Torture: International Practice and National Experience" is being conducted at the initiative of the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The training course is organized with the participation of representatives from the National Human Rights Center of Uzbekistan, the Law Enforcement Academy, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Institute for Advanced Training, the Supreme Court, judges, regional prosecutors, and law enforcement officers.

The latest session of this training course took place in Jizzakh region.

During the session, M. Mamasiddikov, Deputy Head of the Law Enforcement Academy, delivered a lecture on "The Essence of the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment."
