A meeting was held at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the internal affairs advisors of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Tashkent, general-lieutenant Semih Okyar and Selim Arıcı.
During the meeting, the foreign guests were informed about the Academy’s main areas of activity, educational process, infrastructure, and ongoing scientific research. The parties also discussed prospects for further cooperation with relevant educational institutions of Turkey’s law enforcement agencies. In particular, the discussions covered academic mobility, exchange programs for faculty and students, organization of scientific events, joint educational programs, and familiarization visits. Additionally, the possibility of involving qualified experts in the educational process and other important aspects of cooperation were considered.
In order to strengthen bilateral cooperation, the parties agreed to consider the signing of memorandums of mutual cooperation between the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Police Academy, as well as the gendarmerie and coast guard Academy of Turkey.
As a result of the constructive dialogue, the parties expressed their mutual interest in further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas.
