An expert meeting was held at the Academy as part of a project implemented with the support of the European union and the German society for international cooperation (GIZ), aimed at identifying and preventing potential corruption risks in the criminal justice process.
During the meeting, the Academy's management and experts from the consulting company “Revanta B.V.” internationally recognized specialists in criminal law and anti-corruption, including Dmytro Kotlyar, Vitalii Kasko, Dmitry Nurumov, and Saule Oripova discussed issues related to possible corruption risks and abuses that may arise at various stages of criminal justice, particularly during pre-investigation checks, initiation of criminal proceedings, inquiry and preliminary investigation, and public prosecution.
As a result of the expert discussions, an agreement was reached to cooperate for the effective implementation of the project, the transformation of these areas into a corruption-free system, and the development of a risk assessment methodology and training courses for responsible personnel.
