At a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a dissertation was defended for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law by independent applicant Sh.Sh. Uzakov. The dissertation was titled: “Issues of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the victim by the prosecutor at the stage of preliminary investigation”, under the specialty 12.00.09 – Criminal procedure, Criminalistics, Operational-search activity, and forensic examination.
As part of the research, theoretical propositions and practical recommendations were developed to improve national legislation and law enforcement practices related to the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the victim by the prosecutor at the stage of preliminary investigation.
Following the dissertation defense, the members of the Academic Council recommended the applicant for the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law.
