A republican scientific-practical conference of young lawyers was held on the topic: “The moral character of the modern investigator”
At the Law enforcement academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a republican scientific-practical conference of young lawyers was held on the topic: “The moral character of the modern investigator”.
The conference was attended by students from higher military and legal educational institutions of the country, as well as students from universities that train specialists in the field of law.
In recent years, special attention has been paid in our country to improving the system that ensures reliable protection of individual rights and freedoms at the initial stage of investigation, as well as respect for their honor and dignity.
In particular, in accordance with the decree of the Head of State, the Law enforcement academy of Uzbekistan has implemented a continuous educational process based on a unified approach, aimed at training personnel in the field of criminal investigation and ensuring their close connection with practical activities.
The Academy has introduced an effective system for training specialists in criminal investigation, focused on the development of high moral, psychological, analytical, and professional qualities, aligned with a culture of strict observance of human rights and freedoms.
In our view, the modern investigator is a public servant who embodies the noble idea of “In the name of human honor and dignity”, possessing high moral and ethical qualities, whose actions and mindset are guided by the principle of the rule of law and the inevitability of punishment for crimes.
The conference provided an opportunity to explore the views of students from the country’s law schools on the requirements for an investigator’s personality, culture, and moral character, as well as to discuss their opinions and reflections on the moral image of the modern investigator.
At the conference, students of the Law enforcement academy of Uzbekistan specializing in criminal investigation, along with students from higher military and legal educational institutions, delivered presentations on the culture and morality of the modern investigator, professional ethics, and the moral aspects of the profession. The Academy’s faculty members also shared their thoughts on the theses and proposals presented by the conference participants.
During the conference, it was emphasized that the presentations, opinions, and proposals of the participants, as well as their observations, would be taken into account in improving the educational process aimed at developing the personal and professional skills of investigative and inquiry personnel.
