A seminar session dedicated to the essence and significance of legislation in the field of combating corruption was conducted by specialists from the Law enforcement academy at the Academy of the Ministry of emergency situations.
The seminar was attended by the faculty and staff of the Academy of the Ministry of emergency situations. Khudoyberdi Tursunbekov, head of the scientific-educational center for combating corruption of the Law enforcement academy, provided a detailed explanation regarding the essence and significance of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On combating corruption” and “On conflict of interest”, as well as issues of liability for individuals who commit corruption-related offenses, including crimes.
In addition, participants were provided with information about the content of the Presidential Decree No. PF–71 dated April 21, adopted to ensure the implementation of the priority tasks set by the Head of State at the extended meeting of the National anti-corruption council on March 5 of this year, as well as to broadly mobilize the public, parliament, and civil society institutions to address this issue through the introduction of a new system for combating corruption.
At the end of the event, proposals and recommendations were given to improve departmental measures for combating corruption at the Academy of the Ministry of emergency situations, and answers were provided to participants' questions.
