Systematic efforts to improve the criminogenic situation in mahallas continue

The working group, led by the First Deputy Head of the Law Enforcement Academy, E.V. Kolenko, is continuing its work on implementing the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 3, 2025, No. PP–1, “On measures to create a safe environment and further improve the effectiveness of the early prevention system for offenses in the mahallas of the Republic in 2025”.

For example, in the “Lolazor” mahalla of the Mirabad district of Tashkent city, together with a group headed by the Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis, A. Eshmuratov, and the First Deputy Head of the Academy, E.V. Kolenko, the activities of the district’s law enforcement agencies and the local “mahalla seven” were studied. Recommendations were provided to curb crime and prevent corruption, including everyday forms of petty corruption.

In addition, law enforcement agencies in the district were provided with methodological manuals developed by the Academy for the prevention of specific types of crimes.
