Seminar on Preventing Corruption in the Education System and Enhancing Youth Knowledge in the Field of Anti-Corruption in Samarkand Region

 

In order to raise the legal awareness and legal culture of the population and civil servants through the Virtual Anti-Corruption Academy, as well as to form a legal immunity against corruption in society and instill the values of integrity in the minds of the younger generation, field events are being conducted by a working group led by the First Deputy Head of the Academy, E.V. Kolenko.

The next series of field events took place in the Samarkand region. Initially, members of the working group held a roundtable discussion on anti-corruption with the leadership of Samarkand State University and members of the legal advocacy group established under the university.

Following that, a seminar was organized for Samarkand State University students by E.V. Kolenko and the Head of the Center, Kh. Tursunbekov, focused on corruption in the education system and measures for its prevention. The seminar also aimed to improve students’ knowledge in the field of anti-corruption through the Virtual Academy’s online platform.

A seminar on the same topic was also held for students of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

On the following day, the field training continued at the Samarkand Regional Department of Preschool and School Education. The hybrid-format seminar was attended by department leaders, heads of district-level preschool and school education units, and other responsible representatives. They were provided with explanations on eliminating petty corruption in the system, as well as guidance on organizing quality training for students and pupils through the Virtual Anti-Corruption Academy.

The Academy’s series of field events aimed at combating corruption continues in various regions.
