The head and volunteers of the Academy’s Legal Clinic took part in the Summer School held in Bo‘stonliq district for students of university legal clinics, under the theme “Shaping Integrity in Governance: Legal Education as a Tool for Anti-Corruption Reforms”.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Agency, the UN Development Programme Office in Uzbekistan, and the European Union. The Summer School was implemented within the framework of the joint project “Strengthening the National Anti-Corruption Ecosystem in Uzbekistan”.
The main goal of the event was to enhance the legal knowledge of youth, increase civic engagement, and involve them in the fight against corruption.
Through their volunteer activities, students gained knowledge and practical skills in the following areas: conducting awareness campaigns among the population, activities of anti-corruption coworking centers, public monitoring of government procurement, online courses of the Anti-Corruption Virtual Academy, the UN Convention against Corruption, and international standards.
At the end of the event, participants were awarded certificates.
Such initiatives contribute to strengthening practical cooperation between higher education institutions and state bodies and play an important role in fostering integrity, responsibility, and legal culture among youth.
