The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan has launched a large-scale project to implement an anti-bribery management system in accordance with the international standard ISO 37001:2025. The project is being carried out with the methodological and technical support of ALFAKON SYSTEMS.
The event was organized with the financial support of the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ), within the framework of the project “Improving Public Administration in Uzbekistan: Inclusive Corruption Prevention”, implemented in cooperation with GIZ – the German Agency for International Cooperation.
The purpose of the project is to create a comprehensive system for preventing corruption risks, enhance the transparency of management and educational processes, strengthen the Academy’s business reputation, and ensure compliance with national and international anti-corruption compliance requirements.
The project will include: a comprehensive assessment of existing procedures; the development and implementation of anti-corruption policies and regulations; training for employees at all levels; preparation and conduct of internal audits; and support throughout the external certification process.
It is expected that, upon completion, the Academy will meet the requirements of the international ISO 37001 standard and ensure the involvement of at least 80% of employees in the process of training and building an anti-corruption culture.
The introduction of ISO 37001 into an educational environment focused on training future law enforcement officers is of strategic importance. It goes beyond formal regulations, fostering a holistic culture of zero tolerance for corruption, which graduates will further promote in their professional activities.
This initiative is part of the Academy’s strategic course to build a sustainable anti-corruption culture in the system of training personnel for law enforcement activities.
