A systemic approach to ensuring safety in regional environments

In pursuance of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 3, 2025, No. RP-1 “On measures to create a safe environment and further improve the effectiveness of the early crime prevention system in the mahallas of the Republic in 2025”, and the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 18, 2025, No. RP-253 “On amendments and additions to certain decisions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at further improving the effectiveness of the system for the early prevention of crime in neighborhoods” the Law enforcement academy has been consistently carrying out scientific and practical work on the ground.

A working group composed of the Academy’s faculty members conducted comprehensive research in the mahallas of “Bog‘ishamol,” “Kattabog‘,” “Bog’i nav,” and “Katta hayot” of the Surkhandarya region.

In the course of the analysis, the factors influencing the level of offenses, the effectiveness of preventive measures, as well as the socio-economic challenges faced by the population, were thoroughly studied.

Based on the results of the research, and taking into account the specific characteristics of each district, scientifically grounded proposals and recommendations were developed. On this basis, targeted “road maps” for creating a safe environment and preventing offenses in the mahallas for the current month were elaborated.

The Law enforcement academy intends to consistently continue its scientific and practical activities aimed at the effective organization of preventive work and the provision of a safe and stable environment for the population.
