At the Law enforcement academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a training course was held within the framework of the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) of the U.S. Department of Justice, on the topic: “Training of leaders and investigators on the investigation of crimes related to terrorism”.
The course was conducted with the participation of specialists from the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as the faculty of the Academy, and lasted for four days.
Employees of the investigative divisions of the Prosecutor’s office and the State security service participated in the course as trainees.
During the classes, the participants acquired the necessary knowledge and practical skills in ensuring human rights when conducting investigative actions in cases of this category, providing legal assessment of the actions of individuals involved in the investigative process, as well as identifying and procedurally documenting physical evidence. In addition, they became acquainted with pressing issues in the field of combating terrorism, advanced international experience, and effective practices.
At the conclusion of the course, certificates were awarded to the participants by the leadership of the Academy and representatives of the U.S. Department of Justice. In addition, an agreement was reached to continue joint activities in the future.
