Work is ongoing to create a safe environment in the mahallas

The Law Enforcement Academy is consistently implementing measures aimed at putting into practice the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 3, 2025, No. PP–1 “On measures to create a safe environment and further improve the effectiveness of the early crime prevention system in the mahallas of the republic in 2025” and the Presidential Decree dated August 18, 2025, No. PP–253 “On amendments and additions to certain Presidential Decrees aimed at further enhancing the effectiveness of the early crime prevention system in the mahallas”.

In this regard, a working group of the Academy conducted a study, based on scientific approaches, of the criminogenic situation in the mahallas of Jizzakh city, including the “Madaniyat” mahalla. During the study, particular attention was paid to organizing crime prevention activities and involving mahalla activists in strengthening public safety.

Based on the analysis, scientifically grounded proposals were prepared for targeted crime prevention in “red” and “yellow” category mahallas. This work will continue on a systematic basis.
