In September of this year, the working group of the Academy studied the criminogenic situation in 23 mahallas of the Surkhandarya region, included in the "red" category, based on scientific approaches.
The causes and factors influencing the criminogenic situation in mahallas, the conditions contributing to the commission of crimes, as well as social and domestic problems, and ongoing preventive work were analyzed.
Based on the results of the study, scientifically based proposals and recommendations aimed at increasing the effectiveness of crime prevention and combating crime in the regions were developed, taking into account the specifics of each mahalla.
These proposals and recommendations were summarized and submitted to the responsible persons for inclusion in future roadmaps aimed at improving the criminogenic situation.
In order to ensure the implementation of the Resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 3, 2025 No. PP-1 "On Measures to Create a Safe Environment and Further Increase the Effectiveness of the System of Early Crime Prevention in Mahallas of the Republic in 2025" and dated August 18, 2025 No. PP-253 "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aimed at Further Increasing the Effectiveness of the System of Early Crime Prevention in Mahallas," the working group of the Academy is systematically continuing a set of measures to study the criminogenic situation in the regions of the republic.
