A working group of the Law Enforcement Academy conducted a study in the mahallas “Baratkhuja,” “Mingurik,” “Farovon,” “Birodarliq,” “Tong Yulduzi” (Mirabad district), “Boykurgan,” “Istiqlol,” “Chulpon,” “Yashnobod” (Yashnobod district), and “Bektemir,” “Nurafshon” (Bektemir district) of Tashkent city, applying scientific approaches to the timely detection of offences and crimes, as well as their prevention.
Specialists examined and analysed the causes and factors influencing the criminogenic situation in the mahallas, the conditions creating grounds for committing crimes, as well as socio-economic problems and the state of ongoing preventive work.
Based on the results of the study, taking into account the specific characteristics of each mahalla, scientifically grounded proposals and recommendations were developed, aimed at improving the effectiveness of early crime prevention efforts.
These proposals and recommendations were systematised and submitted to responsible officials for inclusion in future “roadmaps” designed to improve the criminogenic situation.
