Meeting of EU experts with undergraduate students of the Academy

At the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, international trainer-experts of the European Union project "Combating Organized Crime and Terrorism" (EU-ACT) Erik Beranje and Jauhar Budriga held an open meeting with undergraduate students of the Academy. The meeting was organized as a continuation of the regional trainings "Before the Crisis: Ensuring Security in Public Places," held at the Academy on September 22-26 with the participation of representatives from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

The event was held in the form of an open dialogue. Experts shared their international experience in ensuring public safety and combating terrorism. In particular, Eric Béranger spoke about terrorist attacks in France and provided detailed information about the powers of French special services in investigating such crimes, methods of gathering evidence, and practical experience.

Students received detailed answers to their questions on assessing dangerous situations in public places, organizing investigative actions, and conducting effective investigations. This meeting provided an opportunity for future investigators to become closely acquainted with international standards and practice.

Such initiatives, regularly held at the Law Enforcement Academy together with international partners, play an important role in strengthening the professional training of young personnel and forming their skills to adequately respond to modern threats.
