The fourth stage of a special training on combating terrorism was held at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Embassy of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Uzbekistan. The event was attended by the British expert, criminal affairs consultant M. Carroll, who has extensive practical experience in the field of criminal law and the fight against terrorism.
The training was organized in order to improve the knowledge and professional skills of employees of the prosecutor's office in the field of combating terrorism, studying the positive experience of foreign countries in this area, as well as international legal mechanisms and standards used to identify, investigate and counter terrorist acts.
During the event, participants discussed the legislation of Great Britain and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of combating the financing of terrorism, Great Britain's experience in this area, and the use of evidence in the process of collecting, analyzing, and proving crimes related to the financing of terrorism.
The active discussion by the participants of real cases related to the financing of terrorism in practice, the identification of existing problems encountered by employees of the prosecutor's office in investigating crimes related to terrorism, and the joint development of proposals for their elimination based on foreign experience further enhanced the practical effectiveness of the event.
The training was highly appreciated by the participants, and this series of events will continue.
