Visit of the dean of the international anti-corruption academy (IACA)


The dean of the international anti-corruption academy (IACA) based in Vienna, Dr. Slagjana Taseva (PhD), paid an official visit to the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of the 5th Tashkent anti-corruption forum.

Slagjana Taseva is a leading expert in the fields of anti-corruption policy and criminal law, a doctor of law, the founder and first chairperson of Transparency International Macedonia, as well as the former chair of the State commission for the prevention of corruption of the Republic of North Macedonia.

As part of the visit, Ms. Taseva delivered a lecture for the Academy’s master’s degree students.

During the lecture, she shared international experience in developing and implementing anti-corruption strategies and emphasized the importance of academic and inter-agency cooperation in strengthening transparency and accountability institutions.

The Academy’s students actively participated in the discussions by asking the expert questions about modern challenges in preventing corruption.

In addition, within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held between the representative of the International anti-corruption Academy and the Academy’s leadership, during which the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of research activities, personnel training, and the exchange of best practices in anti-corruption education.
