At present, issues of ensuring information security and combating cyber threats are becoming increasingly important. Cyberattacks can lead to serious consequences, including financial losses and leakage of personal data. In this regard, conducting information and awareness-raising activities among public servants and the general population plays a crucial role in enhancing cyberculture and increasing awareness of protective measures in the digital environment.
As is well known, by the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 30 of this year No. RP–153, “On measures aimed at further strengthening efforts to combat crimes committed using information technologies” an annual comprehensive program of awareness and educational activities has been approved. This program aims to improve the cyberculture of the population and develop cyber hygiene skills. In accordance with this program, november has been declared the month of promoting cyberculture.
On the eve of the cyberculture promotion Month, the Research institute of digital forensics of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a seminar at the private joint-stock bank “Trastbank”. During the event, participants were informed about the key factors contributing to the commission of cybercrimes, introduced to effective methods of ensuring information security in commercial banks, and provided with practical recommendations on preventing situations in which individuals may become victims of cybercrime.
