Participated in the 5th Tashkent anti-corruption forum


On October 22–23 of this year, the leadership, staff, students, and trainees of the Academy took part in the 5th Tashkent anti-corruption forum.

During the session titled “Anti-corruption education: strategies for enhancing efficiency and awareness” presentations were delivered by S. Taseva, head of the International anti-Corruption academy (IACA); E. Radzevičius, deputy director of the Special investigation service of Lithuania; E. V. Kolenko, first deputy head of the Law Enforcement Academy; V. Kozin, UNODC anti-corruption adviser; I. Zorgatz, chief commissioner-inspector of the Federal ministry of the interior of Germany; and Chi-Kong Tang, deputy director of operations at the Independent commission against corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong.

In his speech, E. V. Kolenko, first deputy head of the Academy, presented information on the Academy’s activities in the field of anti-corruption education and research, as well as on special training programmes conducted for the general public, youth, and civil servants through the electronic platform “Virtual academy for combating corruption. Furthermore, Mr Kolenko put forward a number of proposals for further cooperation with international and foreign organizations participating in the forum session.

The students and researchers of the Academy took an active part in the session’s discussions, receiving detailed responses from international experts to their questions of interest.
