Representatives of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan held an online working meeting with employees of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic on cooperation in the return of criminal assets within the framework of the implementation of the tasks of the Permanent Secretariat of the Informal Network for the Return of Assets of the States of Western and Central Asia (ARIN-WCA).
At the meeting, the participants recognized the role and importance of the ARIN-WCA network as a key component in the fight against organized crime, and with the assistance of the network's permanent Secretariat (Academy), the status of requests sent to foreign jurisdictions within the framework of existing criminal cases and existing problems, as well as issues of their joint resolution, were discussed.
In addition, the meeting participants noted the need to further increase the effectiveness of the ARIN-WCA network in the return of criminal assets, strengthen practical cooperation with other ARIN networks and foreign jurisdictions, exchange new knowledge and experience in this area, develop training manuals for communication representatives, and study the legislation and practice of the network's member states.
