International exchange of experience in the field of digital criminalistics: Business trip of Academy employees to the Republic of Moldova

Employees of the Research Institute of Digital Forensics of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan made a working trip to the Republic of Moldova as part of the international exchange of experience in the field of digital forensics.

The main goal of the trip was to develop the field of digital forensics, introduce modern methods of combating cybercrime into practice, and enhance the scientific and practical potential of specialists in the field.

The Academy delegation visited the Center for Forensic Examination under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, where they familiarized themselves with the activities of the laboratories, the accreditation system, logistical support, and personnel potential. Issues of implementing international standards ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 27037 and improving the quality of management were also discussed.

During the visit, an exchange of experience took place on the processes of receiving, registering, storing, and ensuring the integrity of digital evidence. The Institute's staff participated in practical demonstrations on digital data extraction, creation of forensic copies, and analysis of malicious software using modern equipment.

The next part of the trip took place at the Center for Combating Cybercrime of the National Investigative Inspectorate. Here, the experience of Moldovan specialists in data analysis, restoring deleted information, obtaining data from mobile devices, analyzing internet activity, and studying network artifacts was studied.

As a result of the business trip, the institute's employees improved their skills in working with digital evidence, learned advanced methods of investigating cybercrime, and strengthened practical cooperation with expert structures of the Republic of Moldova.

The results of this exchange of experience will serve to further increase the research potential in the field of digital forensics and the introduction of the most advanced international practices into the activities of law enforcement agencies of our country.
