A "round table" was held at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dedicated to the scientific and practical discussion of errors in the assessment of evidence during the preliminary investigation and trial in criminal cases.

The event was attended by Senior Investigator of the Investigative Department under the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent D.F.Yokubov, lawyer of the law firm "LEGACY and SHIELD" R.B.Bazarov, and expert of the Republican Center for Forensic Expertise named after Kh.Sulaymonova under the Ministry of Justice B.B.Akhmedov.

During the discussion, specialists paid special attention to such issues as ensuring the legal participation of witnesses in the implementation of investigative actions, identifying digital evidence and formalizing it in the prescribed manner through protocols, organizing effective cooperation between the investigator and the defense counsel, and the influence of the lawyer on the quality of the investigation by pointing out procedural shortcomings. Detailed information was also provided on the possibilities of DNA examination, errors made during the sampling process, and the impact of the expert opinion on investigative decisions.

At the end of the event, the specialists answered the students' questions and gave practical recommendations on preventing such mistakes in their future investigative activities.
