New initiatives in international cooperation and education


A meeting was held at the Academy with O. Stölpe, Head of the Regional Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and N. Rettenmeyer, Director of a Division of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Department of State in Tashkent.

The meeting was organized within the framework of a seminar-training course for investigators of the prosecution authorities and forensic experts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the topic “Crime scene management and examination”, which is being conducted at the Academy from January 12 to 16 with the support of UNODC and INL.

During the event, issues of further cooperation with UNODC and INL were discussed, including the development of the Academy as an international educational hub and the implementation of projects aimed at enhancing the professional qualifications of personnel of national and foreign law enforcement agencies.
