Prospects for cooperation with the United Nations in education and capacity building discussed


A meeting was held at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan with Sabine Machl, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, and Jonas Astrup, Head of the Secretariat of the “Ishonch” Foundation.

During the meeting, the prospects for further development of cooperation and the expansion of practical interaction in priority areas were reviewed. Particular emphasis was placed on the implementation of joint projects with UN entities aimed at strengthening the Academy’s capacity as an international educational hub and enhancing the professional qualifications of personnel of national and foreign law enforcement agencies.

The participants also discussed the establishment of sustainable educational and research-practice initiatives with the involvement of UN structures and partner organizations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to further develop the partnership and continue practical cooperation in the agreed priority areas.
