Anti-Corruption System Based on ISO 37001 Being Implemented at the Academy

At the Law Enforcement Academy, a specialized training session on the international standard ISO 37001:2025 “Anti-Bribery Management Systems” was conducted for heads of structural divisions and responsible staff members with the participation of an expert from CERT Academy.

The event was organized with the aim of systematically identifying, assessing, and mitigating corruption risks within the Academy’s activities in accordance with international requirements; strengthening transparency and accountability; and forming an effective internal control system at the institutional level to prevent corruption.

During the training, participants enhanced their practical knowledge and skills regarding the key principles of ISO 37001:2025, procedures for developing and implementing anti-corruption policies, methodologies for corruption risk assessment, due diligence mechanisms, management of conflicts of interest, organization of internal control and monitoring processes, as well as documentation and reporting requirements.

As a result of the training, 20 employees of the Academy obtained the status of “internal auditor” under the ISO 37001 international standard. This status enables them to independently assess the effectiveness of the anti-bribery management system, conduct internal audits, address identified deficiencies, and develop relevant recommendations.

This initiative contributes to fostering a culture of anti-corruption compliance within the Academy, improving governance quality, and ensuring institutional sustainability. At the same time, it lays the foundation for developing advanced practices in implementing effective anti-corruption systems within state institutions.
