Mashhura Mardonova, a third-year student of the “Investigative Activity” Bachelor’s program at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has successfully passed the international selection process and has been invited to participate in a Capacity-Building Workshop organized in preparation for the Model UNCAC Youth Conference of the States Parties (Model UNCAC Youth COSP). The workshop is organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) within the framework of the United Nations Convention against Corruption. The Model Youth Conference is scheduled to be held in September 2026 in Doha, the capital of the Qatar.
The preparatory workshop will take place on 25–26 March 2026 at the Vienna International Centre in Vienna, the capital of the Austria. The event is organized under the GRACE global initiative and aims to enhance the professional capacity of young specialists in the field of anti-corruption, promote a global anti-corruption approach, and strengthen international youth cooperation.
The seminar program предусматривает a deeper understanding of the nature of corruption and its global consequences, analysis of corruption risks and ethical challenges, exploration of the potential of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in strengthening anti-corruption mechanisms, as well as the development of negotiation skills through simulations of international negotiations in the COSP format.
The selection process was highly competitive: organizers reviewed more than 2,300 applications submitted from over 130 countries. As a result of a multi-stage evaluation process, Mashhura Mardonova was selected as one of the finalists and invited to participate in the first of two planned preparatory workshops.
The participation of a representative from Uzbekistan in this international event confirms the active engagement and strong interest of the country’s youth in global anti-corruption processes, as well as their commitment to expanding international cooperation.
