Issues of environmental sustainability within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals were discussed

Within the framework of the Global Week of Action and Awareness on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a "round table" on the topic "Sustainable Development (environmentally sustainable practices) " was held at the Law Enforcement Academy. The event was attended by J. Chyaramonte, an expert of the US Embassy's "Fulbright" program, professors, teachers, and students of the Academy.

During the discussion, the expert expressed his opinion on the modern significance of the concept of sustainable development, the principles of environmental sustainability, and the role of "green" (eco-friendly practices) practices in the development of society. In particular, initiatives aimed at the rational use of resources, reducing the volume of waste, forming a culture of recycling, increasing energy efficiency, and environmental protection were discussed.

During the discussion, students actively participated with questions about the legal aspects of sustainable development, mechanisms for ensuring environmental responsibility, and the role of law enforcement agencies in this area. The importance of youth initiative and civic responsibility in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals was also emphasized.

The event was held in an interactive spirit, which served to increase the ecological culture of students, familiarize them with international experience, and develop their skills in carrying out sustainable and responsible activities. At the end of the conversation, the participants expressed their proposals and comments on the practical implementation of the ideas of sustainable development.
