Modern investigative approaches and digital forensics: a training and practical seminar was held in Khorezm

Within the framework of the tasks set at the videoconference meeting chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on January 27 of this year, including those aimed at radically improving the quality of investigations and ensuring their transparency, the Law Enforcement Academy is consistently implementing appropriate organizational and practical measures.

As one such event, the Academy staff organized a training and practical seminar for investigators of the prosecutor's office and internal affairs bodies of the Khorezm region. The main goal of the seminar was to ensure the correct and effective application of legislative requirements in investigative activities, the introduction of modern approaches to the investigation of criminal cases, improving the quality and effectiveness of investigative actions, as well as strengthening the openness and transparency of the investigative process.

During the seminar, special attention was paid to the issues of detecting and investigating crimes committed using information technologies. Participants were given practical explanations on the identification of digital traces, their registration in the appropriate procedural order, the storage and consolidation of electronic data in the manner prescribed by law, as well as the effective use of the capabilities of digital criminalistics in the implementation of investigative actions.

At the same time, important aspects were discussed that should be paid attention to ensuring the rapid exchange of information in the detection of cybercrimes, the collection of evidence in the digital environment without compromising their integrity and storage chain, as well as working with electronic devices and online platforms.

At the end of the seminar, the participants exchanged views on current issues encountered in their practical activities and discussed existing experience. It was noted that dialogue and cooperation in this format will serve to further improve investigative practice, improve the professional training of employees, and form unified effective approaches in the activities of investigative bodies.
