At the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, special attention is paid to the development of international cooperation and the introduction of advanced foreign experience into the educational process. For this purpose, training sessions are regularly organized at the Academy with the participation of foreign experts and practicing specialists.
The next training session was held with the participation of Timur Sindeliani, an official of the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia. He delivered a lecture to the Academy's undergraduate students on "European Standards for Sentencing Without the Participation of the Accused, Established by the European Court of Human Rights, and the Relevance of these Standards for the Republic of Uzbekistan."
During the report, examples of international mechanisms for protecting the procedural rights of the accused, ensuring a fair and impartial trial, guaranteeing human rights, and judicial practice in Europe were discussed in detail.
The lesson was held in the form of an interactive dialogue, in which students received important knowledge of international legal standards, mechanisms for ensuring human rights, and modern judicial practice.
Such classes, organized at the Academy with the participation of international experts, serve to expand the legal thinking of students, a deep understanding of modern legal standards, and their effective application in future professional activities.
