In order to ensure the implementation of the resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 5, 2026, No. PP-1 and No. PP-2, a working group headed by the First Deputy Head of the Academy, E. Kolenko, held a meeting with employees of the Bektemir District Prosecutor's Office and the departments for coordinating the activities of internal affairs bodies.
At the meeting, based on the principle of "scientific conclusion - recommendation - result," specific proposals and recommendations were developed for the early prevention of offenses and the improvement of the criminogenic situation in the region.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of the tasks set at the videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on January 27 of this year. In particular, improving the quality of investigations, ensuring their transparency, as well as improving the tactics and strategy for combating cybercrime were identified as priority areas.
Issues of developing the professional skills of investigators were also discussed, and agreements were reached on the systematic organization of training sessions.
In particular, the requirements for the procedure for internships of Academy students in investigative, preventive, and public order services based on dual education have been determined.
The working group conducted a study in a number of mahallas of the Bektemir district, including the "Nurafshon" mahalla. Based on a scientific approach, the factors influencing the criminogenic situation, the conditions causing offenses, the state of preventive work, and the socio-domestic problems of the population were analyzed.
Practical recommendations were given on the shortcomings identified as a result of the studies, and explanatory work was carried out to increase the effectiveness of preventive measures.
