Skills for working with international scientific databases: Practical seminar at the Academy

A seminar-training dedicated to the effective use of national and foreign databases of electronic information resources of the National Library of Uzbekistan was organized at the Law Enforcement Academy.

An employee of the National Library of Uzbekistan, Kh. Boysunova, was invited to the event as an expert.

During the seminar, the participants familiarized themselves with the capabilities of electronic resources provided by the National Library, and also gained practical skills in working with international scientific databases.

In particular, the possibilities of using the world's largest full-text database of dissertations through the ProQuest platform, as well as access to Chinese scientific journals and research materials through CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) were widely covered.

Detailed information was also provided on the possibilities of using scientific publications of Russia and other countries through the international database East View Information Services, downloading, copying, and distributing articles electronically.

Master's and doctoral students of the Academy took part in the event and received comprehensive answers to their questions from the specialist.

Such seminars and trainings serve to improve the quality of scientific research, develop skills in the effective use of information resources, and strengthen integration into the international scientific space.
