International cooperation is developing: a meeting was held at the Academy with a representative of the US Department of Justice

A meeting was held at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan with Aaron Lukoff, Legal Counsel of the Department for Training, Support, and Development of Foreign Attorneys (OPDAT) of the US Department of Justice.

During the meeting, the foreign expert was provided with detailed information about the activities of the Academy, its scientific potential, educational programs, as well as the system of training, retraining, and advanced training of prosecutorial and investigative personnel.

Special attention was paid to the development of training modules and courses with the participation of American experts. The parties agreed to implement them through the Academy's "Proacademy" electronic educational platform, develop a joint "roadmap" for cooperation in the field of education, as well as organize regional training courses for representatives of law enforcement agencies of the Central Asian states.

Also, within the framework of the meeting, the foreign expert was acquainted with the judicial and legal system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the reforms being carried out in this area, the specifics of the investigative process, and the mechanisms for the administration of justice.

The meeting was held in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere and confirmed the parties' interest in further developing mutual cooperation.
