Shaping a Generation Committed to Serving the Law: A Meeting Between Leadership and Students Held at the Academy

Within the framework of systematic measures on youth engagement, a meeting was held at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the “Meeting of the Leader with Youth” series. The event was attended by the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Acting Head of the Academy, State Counselor of Justice, 3rd Class, S.I. Samadov, and students.

The event was organized in the format of an open dialogue. Key issues discussed included the quality of training future law enforcement personnel, the development of professional competencies, and the formation of legal awareness.

Particular attention was paid to the dual education system implemented at the Academy. It was emphasized that this system ensures effective integration of theoretical knowledge with practical activities. In addition, special focus was placed on the moral and ethical upbringing of youth, the development of a reading culture, and fostering respect for national values, history, and cultural roots.

It was also noted that improving physical fitness, promoting sports, and establishing a healthy lifestyle are essential factors in the professional development of law enforcement personnel.

Within the framework of the priorities set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the importance of creating conditions for the comprehensive development of youth, fully realizing their potential, and ensuring their active participation in upholding the rule of law and public order was highlighted.

During the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions of interest and received detailed answers.

As emphasized by the leadership:
“A modern law enforcement officer must not only possess high professional qualifications, but also be spiritually mature, physically fit, broad-minded, respectful of national values, and committed to the principles of justice. Only such personnel can effectively serve the law and society.”

As the culmination of the event, a ceremony was held to honor students who achieved outstanding results in academic, scientific, and public activities. In particular, students demonstrating high academic performance, exemplary behavior, and notable achievements, including recipients of the Presidential State Scholarship and the Islam Karimov State Scholarship, were awarded valuable gifts and certificates of appreciation.

Additionally, special recognition was given to a student who won a grant to participate in the international Capacity-Building Workshop organized at the Vienna International Centre within the framework of the UNODC Model UNCAC Youth COSP initiative.

Furthermore, within the event held under the motto “Honoring Navruz means honoring humanity,” winners and prizewinners of military-sports competitions—including archery, table tennis, and arm wrestling—were also awarded. Participants demonstrated high physical fitness, determination, and a strong will to win, once again confirming the effectiveness of the Academy’s efforts in promoting comprehensive youth development and a healthy lifestyle.

This meeting contributed to strengthening systematic mechanisms of youth engagement, enhancing effective dialogue with young people, and fostering a strong motivation to serve the law.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the leadership of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan ознакомилось with the implementation of the dual education system in the prosecutor’s offices and internal affairs bodies of Yunusabad and Mirzo Ulugbek districts.

During the visits, particular attention was paid to the conditions for organizing practical training, students’ participation in investigative and preventive activities, as well as the level of integration of theoretical knowledge with practice. In addition, emphasis was placed on assigning students to experienced staff, the effectiveness of the mentorship system, and the development of professional skills in a real service environment.
