Ensuring a safe environment in mahallas: practical training for prevention inspectors

As part of the implementation of tasks aimed at ensuring a safe environment in mahallas and increasing the effectiveness of early crime prevention, the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized field training sessions for prevention inspectors from the mahallas of the Yashnabad, Shaykhantakhur, and Bektemir districts of Tashkent.

More than 270 prevention inspectors are participating in these training processes. The primary objective of the training sessions is to develop modern management skills, ensure social stability in the regions, and accelerate digital transformation processes.

The curriculum is modular and covers areas such as early crime prevention, social prevention, combating drug crimes, administrative and jurisdictional activities, applied psychology, problem sociology, digital literacy, and the formation of cyberculture.

During the exercises, special attention is paid to risk assessment, identifying crime hotspots and forecasting the criminogenic situation, tactics for early crime prevention, working with persons on preventive records, their return to social life, and establishing public control.

Additionally, practical knowledge will be provided on modern approaches to handling reports of offenses, the effective use of information systems and digital platforms, and protection against cyber threats.

Special emphasis is placed on strengthening the professional competencies of prevention inspectors, improving leadership qualities, rapid decision-making, effective work in the digital environment, and the quality of work with the population.

At the end of the training process, the knowledge and skills of the participants will be assessed, and certificates of advanced training will be issued to those who have successfully completed the training.

These measures serve to increase the efficiency of prevention inspectors, introduce modern management approaches, and accelerate the processes of adaptation to the digital society.

The Academy consistently continues its work aimed at ensuring a safe environment in mahallas and improving the system for preventing offenses.
