Ensuring a safe environment in mahallas: the working group presents the results

A working group from the Law Enforcement Academy participated in a meeting of the Republican Interagency Coordination Headquarters in the Tashkent region, dedicated to ensuring a safe environment in mahallas and strengthening early crime prevention.

Within the framework of ensuring the implementation of Decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-1 and PP-2 dated January 5, 2026, the Academy is systematically carrying out work aimed at analyzing the criminogenic situation in mahallas, studying the causes and factors of offenses, and developing targeted preventive measures based on the principle of "scientific conclusion - recommendation - result."

During the meeting, the results of studies conducted by the Academy's working group in the cities of Angren and Almalyk in the Tashkent region were presented. In particular, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on the crime situation in these regions, its causes and conditions, the practice of working with persons on preventive records, and mechanisms for crime prevention.

Additionally, based on studies conducted in the "Ozodlik," "Appartak," "Yangiobod," and "Buston" mahallas of Angren, as well as in the "A. Navoi," "M. Ulugbek," "Temur Malik," and "Hamza" mahallas of Almalyk, targeted proposals and recommendations were put forward aimed at stabilizing the criminogenic situation, increasing the legal culture of the population, and enhancing the effectiveness of preventive work.

At the meeting of the Republican Interdepartmental Coordination Headquarters, priority tasks for the effective implementation of the "targeted work" system in mahallas and the strengthening of early crime prevention were discussed, and the analysis and approaches implemented by the Academy were positively evaluated.

Following the meeting, it was decided to consistently continue work on scientific and methodological support for activities aimed at early crime prevention, as well as the development and implementation of targeted "roadmaps" based on regional analysis.
