The Academy Confirms Compliance with the ISO 37001:2025 International Anti-Corruption Standard

The Law Enforcement Academy has reached an important milestone in aligning its activities with international standards in the field of anti-corruption.

As a leading scientific and educational institution in combating corruption in the country, the Academy has, within a short period, introduced a system that complies with national and international anti-corruption standards and is resilient to corruption risks.

A comprehensive anti-corruption system has been implemented at the Academy, including the adoption of more than 10 internal regulatory documents covering internal anti-corruption policy, conflict of interest management, prevention of corruption risks, enhancement of transparency in public procurement, and other related areas.

With the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Academy’s anti-corruption management system was audited by “CERT International” in accordance with the ISO 37001:2025 “Anti-Bribery Management Systems” international standard. On April 17 of this year, a ceremony was held to award the Academy a certificate of compliance in recognition of its educational, methodological, scientific, and expert-analytical activities aimed at strengthening the rule of law.

The event was attended by representatives of the Compliance Service of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Senate and Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (committees on anti-corruption and judicial-legal issues), the Accounts Chamber, the Youth Parliament, as well as professors, students, and doctoral candidates of the Academy. Representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan, GIZ, and other partner organizations also participated.

The international certificate awarded to the Academy confirms that an effective anti-corruption management system has been successfully implemented, that all processes are organized based on the principles of transparency, integrity, and accountability, and that they fully comply with international requirements.

The ISO 37001:2025 certification demonstrates that the Academy has established a systematic approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating corruption risks. It contributes to ensuring openness and transparency in management processes, strengthens a culture of integrity and zero tolerance for corruption among staff, enhances mechanisms for preventing and managing conflicts of interest, increases the confidence of international partners, and enables the implementation of modern compliance standards in education and research activities.

This achievement represents a practical outcome of ongoing reforms in combating corruption in the country and serves as an advanced model for introducing modern compliance systems in specialized scientific and educational institutions within the law enforcement sector.

In addition, during the event, certificates were awarded to participants of a specialized professional development course on “Organization of Compliance Services and Anti-Corruption Issues,” conducted at the Academy with the participation of personnel from the internal security units of the prosecution authorities.
