Cooperation in education, social adaptation, and personnel training is strengthening.

Expanding cooperation between state bodies in the field of law enforcement, ensuring the harmony of education and practice, and supporting socially significant initiatives are considered priority tasks today.

To this end, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Department of Corrections under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The memorandum provides for the development of systematic cooperation aimed at ensuring the rights of persons held in penitentiary institutions, in particular minors, to education, supporting their social adaptation to society, and preventing recidivism.

Within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to implement joint measures aimed at increasing the effectiveness of educational, enlightenment and legal work in penitentiary institutions, educational and vocational guidance of minors, increasing their legal awareness and social activity.

The memorandum also serves to ensure the harmony of theory and practice in the process of training personnel in the field of law enforcement, enrich the educational process with practical experience, and strengthen the professional knowledge and skills of the Academy's students and trainees regarding the activities of the penal system.

The parties emphasized the importance of developing long-term, systemic, and mutually beneficial cooperation, effectively utilizing existing opportunities, and jointly implementing socially significant initiatives.
