The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Center for Research on the Development of Higher Education under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, held the national stage of a series of subject Olympiads on financial security.
The event brought together students from higher educational institutions that are members of the International Network Institute in the field of countering the legalization of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism, as well as students from other state and non-state higher educational institutions of the republic.
More than 150 students from Tashkent State University of Law, Tashkent State University of Economics, Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi and other higher educational institutions of the country took part in the Olympiad. They demonstrated knowledge and practical skills in financial security, legal analysis, economic risk assessment, information security, and international relations in the fields of "Jurisprudence," "Information Security," "Economic Security," and "International Relations."
According to the final results, the participants who scored high scores were awarded diplomas of the I, II and III degrees and commemorative gifts of the Academy. Additionally, 10 students with the highest results were selected to participate in the international financial security olympiad, including 3 in "Jurisprudence" and "Economic Security," and 2 in "Information Security" and "International Relations."
Within the framework of the event, participants were also introduced to the Academy's modern educational and practical training infrastructure. They received information about the activities of special training rooms designed for modeling investigative actions and judicial processes, forensic testing grounds, forensic medical examination and dark web laboratories, the Virtual Academy for Combating Corruption and the Institute of Digital Forensics.
This Olympiad will serve to further develop the knowledge and skills of young people in the field of financial security, identify and support talented students, prepare them for international intellectual competitions, as well as form a promising personnel reserve for the fight against economic crime, corruption, money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
