Modern approaches to personnel training and international standards: the Academy delegation participated in the IADLEST conference

As part of the official visit program to the USA, a delegation from the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the International Association of Directors for Law Enforcement Education and Standards (IADLEST) conference, one of the most prestigious international platforms dedicated to law enforcement training and industry standards development, held in Fort Worth, Texas.

Founded in 1987, the IADLEST Association brings together POST boards in the United States, leading police academies, and industry organizations from various countries. The Association's annual conference is a prestigious international platform dedicated to discussing issues of personnel training for the law enforcement sector, the implementation of modern educational technologies, and the improvement of professional standards.

During the first days of the event, representatives of the Academy participated in official meetings, industry exhibitions, and expert discussions, discussing the development of international cooperation, the exchange of best practices, and the expansion of professional ties.

The conference participants showed great interest in presentations on the emotional stability of law enforcement officers, the experience of international accreditation of educational programs, the training of management personnel, and the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the educational process.

During the thematic sessions, modern approaches to improving the psychological, moral, and physical training of employees were discussed. Experts presented best practices for integrating emotional intelligence into the educational process, applying scientifically grounded teaching methods, developing de-escalation skills, and organizing safe communication while considering personal characteristics.

Special attention was also paid to the introduction of innovative and digital technologies into the personnel training process. The participants got acquainted with modern solutions aimed at organizing training sessions based on virtual reality technologies, assessing the effectiveness of educational programs, and improving the security of service activities.

Participation in the conference allowed for the study of advanced international experience in training personnel for law enforcement agencies, the strengthening of professional ties with foreign partners, and the identification of promising directions for further improving the Academy's educational activities.
