Students and employees of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan are participating in the International IBA International Court Competition 2026, organized at Leiden University in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands. This prestigious platform allows for the harmonization of theoretical knowledge with practice and the development of professional skills in the field of international criminal law and international humanitarian law.

As part of the competition, participants will participate in a simulation of judicial proceedings organized based on the activities of the International Criminal Court and defend legal positions as a prosecutor, defense counsel, and state representative.

Teams prepare written legal documents and procedural memorandums, and participate in oral debates. Legal positions will be defended with the participation of judges of the International Criminal Court, professors, and leading experts in the field of international law.

Participants of the competition will have the opportunity to apply the norms of international criminal law and international humanitarian law in practice, conduct legal research, analyze international legal sources, prepare legal documents and develop public speaking skills.

Furthermore, this competition serves to enrich practical experience in critical and analytical thinking, teamwork, negotiation, and the substantiated defense of legal positions, as well as to establish professional dialogue with experts in the field of international law.

The participation of the Law Enforcement Academy team in this international competition serves to demonstrate the intellectual potential of young lawyers, as well as to strengthen the prestige of national legal education and science in the international arena.
