Specialists from the Research Institute of Digital Forensics of the Law Enforcement Academy held a training and practical seminar for investigators of the Samarkand Regional Prosecutor's Office and regional internal affairs bodies dedicated to the detection and investigation of crimes committed using information technology.
The event was organized as part of the implementation of the tasks set at the videoconference chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on January 27 of this year, aimed at radically improving the quality of investigations and ensuring their transparency.
The seminar discussed issues of ensuring rapid information exchange in solving cybercrimes, ensuring the integrity and preservation of the chain of evidence in the process of obtaining, recording and storing digital evidence.
Explanations were also provided on the important aspects of working with information on electronic devices and online platforms, identifying digital traces, procedural consolidation of the obtained data, and their legal assessment.
During the event, participants discussed topical issues arising in investigative practice and exchanged views and experience on applying modern approaches to cybercrime investigation.
