The Research Institute of Digital Forensics of the Law Enforcement Academy held practical seminars for employees of the prosecutor's offices of the Khorezm region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
The events were dedicated to the effective use of digital technologies in investigative activities, the implementation of modern information systems, and increasing the effectiveness of combating crimes committed using information and communication technologies.
Within the framework of the seminars, the functional capabilities of a special complex developed on the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-229, equipped with technical means of digital forensics, were demonstrated. Participants were explained the practical aspects of using these tools in the processes of identifying, collecting, storing and analyzing digital evidence.
The technical capabilities of the "Mobile Digital Forensics Laboratory" were also presented. During the demonstrations, methods of working with electronic devices and data in the digital environment, procedural consolidation of evidence, ensuring its integrity, and preparation for further analysis were demonstrated.
During the seminars, held in the form of an open dialogue, issues of digitalizing investigative processes, integrating modern forensic technologies into law enforcement practice, improving the quality of electronic evidence processing, and strengthening interagency cooperation in the fight against cybercrime were discussed.
Such practical activities will serve to widely implement the capabilities of digital forensics in the regions, strengthen the professional skills of investigative officers, and ensure the prompt, high-quality, and objective investigation of crimes.
